Built in Memory.
Moving Forward Together.
The Carl Edward Foundation was created in honor of Carl Edward Carlson, a man whose courage and determination shaped every step of this mission.

Through Carl’s life, and the countless lives like his, we’ve witnessed what’s possible when people have the right support. But we’ve also seen what happens when they don’t. Too many families face impossible choices simply because the equipment, care, or modifications they need aren’t covered by insurance.

This foundation exists to ease those burdens and to walk alongside individuals and families as they build a future on their own terms.

When the System Says “No,” We Step In
Every day, people are denied the very tools that could keep them safe, mobile, and independent.
A ramp. A grab bar. A lift chair. A few hours of caregiver relief.
These aren't luxuries, they're lifelines.
Our mission is simple: to make sure no one has to go without because of a gap in funding or a delay in paperwork.
We believe that every person deserves the chance to move, connect, and thrive.

Bridging Gaps. Honoring Dignity.
We exist to close the gap between what’s needed and what’s accessible for individuals living with spinal cord injuries or progressive neurological diseases.

Our mission is to restore possibility: to help people stay in their homes, avoid preventable injuries, and maintain the freedom to live with dignity.

This work is grounded in equity, compassion, and the conviction that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling life.
You Make the Difference
Whether you’re here to give, fundraise, volunteer, or simply learn more, your support creates real change.
Every contribution helps us say “yes” when families are told “no.”
Every dollar helps someone stay safe, stay mobile, or simply feel seen.
There are so many ways to be part of this story.
Together, We Can Light the Way

This isn’t about charity. It’s about equity. Dignity. Freedom.
It’s about removing one barrier so someone else can move forward with confidence.
You’re not just donating. You’re helping someone take back a piece of their life.
